Saturday Reminder: Flowers with a Dark Twist

Hi friends!  Time for our Saturday reminder post, our current theme this week is:

Flowers with a Dark Twist

I had a blast coloring this awesome skull image from our sponsor, A & T Digital Designs - I added a piece of ribbon with a skeleton key (hee hee - love that) tied on it, some word stickers, and a few gemstone stickers:

And my next ATC uses an image from Smeared Ink:

Denice's gorgeous rose and funky background go great with that Elton John quote:

Kim's Zombie Beauty Queen is perfectly dark and twisted:

Sharon used some great images from The Octopode Factory along with the most perfect DP and I love what she did to the flowers:

I used the Skulls & Rose digi image, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and mounted on a playing card that I had applied a thin coat of Gesso to:

I love how Chelsea fussy-cut the Skulls & Roses image - and the background with the large word is so perfect for this image:

Denice also used the Skulls & Roses image, and she colored it so beautifully it just seems so realistic:

Kim used the Skull with Top Hat image, printing it multiple times and creating a really cool effect on her ATC with those spider webs in the background:

Sharon also used the Skull with Top Hat, fjdkal:

You really need to check out the designers' blogs - they give such great detail about their projects and they love to hear from you!  :)

So Flowers with a Dark Twist - think skulls, decorated coffins, anything creepy with flowers.  Thanks for hanging out with us - can't wait to see what you create!  Remember to link up by 7:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday.  Peace.

My next ATC uses Miss Evie Wonderland, along with some DP from Crate and a piece of red rick rack.  I added a little glass bottle and made the "Drink Me" tag, then tied it on with some kraft floss - the bottle is adhered to the ATC with a clear glue dot:

First up is my ATC, I went with a vintagey look to be different and kept the colors to a minimum (hard for me!):

Denice's bright and adorable ATC is colored beautifully:

Kim's sweet circus-tent-shaped ATC was perfectly paper-pieced:

Sharon's ATC screams FUN - does it not?  Love that polka dot paper:
