Welcome back to another Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge! I want to mention something today - when I started this little challenge blog a few years ago, it was never with the intention to attract huge crowds of players. I had always hoped that the people who played along with our challenges would play along because they love making ATC's and would create something for this challenge. I know a lot of folks create a project and then link it up to as many challenges as they can - and that's fine, but it's not how I wanted this to be. And I feel like we've been successful at that! However, it also means we don't get a lot of players. I'm fine with that - I totally appreciate our little group of loyal participants and everyone who decides to play along once in a while! But recently, I had a sponsor (Julia Spiri) back out on me at the last minute "due to lack of entries". I think this was totally unprofessional and just plain mean - it left me in a predicament in the middle of the already-busy holiday season. I decided not to worry too much about trying to find a replacement at the last minute (especially when the majority of my sponsors are already so generous) but instead to let this challenge run for 2 weeks. So that's what we're doing. Shame on you, Julia Spiri, for not understanding that quantity is not better than quality. And thank you to my faithful sponsors, thank you for allowing us to show off and promote your beautiful images/artwork and for not letting the fact that we don't draw huge crowds dissuade you from continuing to sponsor us.

Enjoy the inspiration from our fabulous Design Team.
Your right Jenn, it's not about the quantity! Lovin' all the samples this week...this DT, as always, rocks with creativity!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the well-deserved winner of the wonderful ATC. I do not join in often but have fun when I do. Will see what I can sparkle for the new challenge.

Noticed that the end date is leaa than the 2 wk timeframe so it needs correcting.

I will join you this year - I want to gather a collection of 52 ATC's that I will display here each week. Thank you for carrying on.
ReplyDeleteOhhh! What a suprise! Thank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteAlways love seeing what everyone has done, even if I don't get as much time as I used to for joining in the challenges. And, I love that it is a small group.
ReplyDeleteThank You to the DT for making such fabulous projects using our images.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pleasure to sponsor you and I do hope you have enjoyed working with our images.
Love and best wishes

This is one of my favourite challenges!! How shortsighted of the sponsor...
ReplyDeleteHello, I play here when I can as well. It's such a shame when sponsors back out at short notice. I feel it shouldn't be about how many people enter your challenges. ATC's are so much fun. You and your team are doing a great job. Thank you for the challnges every week.

SHAME SHAME SHAME.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found you this year. I don't always get a chance to play, but when I do get to play with you, I LOVE it... I get a "pure art" feeling making ATCs with ya... it's not a greeting card to give... it's art to share. A grey area, yes, but that's the way I see it.
It's great that I can join this week.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy your challenges.
Sponsors like that in the end loose more than what they realize.
Hugs

ReplyDeleteOmg, was just perusing and noticed I hadn't linked my ATC! Got it in within half hour of closing!!! Phew!
