Hello friends - welcome back to another fun ATC challenge here at Wicked Wednesdays. I want to thank you all for playing along, you all liked our Dresses and Dress Forms challenge - so let's get to the winner and top 3! First, our winner chosen using Random.org is:
Congratulations Maggie H.! Send an e-mail to me at JennBorj@yahoo.com and I'll get your Vintage Dress digi from Michelle Perkett Studio sent out to you ASAP. :)
Our top 3 last week are...
Congrats, ladies! Please send an e-mail to me at JennBorj@yahoo.com with "WW Dresses Top 3" in the subject line and I'll send along your Top 3 badge. I have to give a special shout-out to Joanne, who has made our Top 3 for the past 3 weeks in a row. Joanne, your work really rocks and I would love for you to be a guest designer for us for an upcoming challenge. Please mention this when you e-mail me, and I'll give you some themes/dates to choose from. Thanks! :)
Now I have to address something that touches a lot of nerves. First - please read the Rules and Guidelines page. I've updated it and it's worth taking a peek at. Second - it's come to my attention from one of our sponsors that there's a possibility of image theft happening. Please, if you like any of the images that you see from our sponsors here, please go buy them! Digital stamps are affordable and our sponsors are generous with providing prizes - we don't want that to stop. Moving forward, we will be removing any entries using traced facsimiles. Thank you for understanding.
Please take a minute and visit this page here. Chris Stern, owner and designer of CS Designs and Art With No Boundaries, wrote this from her heart and you can't help but see things from the artist's perspective when you read it. Chris also has a lot of great information on her site here about copyrights, I encourage you to check it out.
But please - the bottom line is just this: please don't steal. If you like an image, buy it and use it. Support the artists, so they can keep providing new stuff for us to play with. Thank you!!!
Now on to this week's challenge! Our theme this week is:
Fairy Tales or Nursery Ryhmes
Create an ATC based on a fairy tale or nursery rhyme. No modern cartoon-type things - think Goldilocks, Jack and the Beanstalk, 3 Little Pigs, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, you get the idea! This week we are being sponsored by the fun and quirky:
Krista generously agreed to let the DT choose between Snow White and Sleeping Beauty to play with this week - and one random winner who plays along with us will get to choose, too!
My first ATC uses Sleeping Beauty, she's colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits - I had this DP in my stash, I thought it was perfect for this ATC, then I added the sentiment and the pearl stickers:
I made another ATC using Snow White, this one is printed on a textured cardstock and cropped. I colored with a combination of markers and pencils, then added a little ribbon tag:
I love the way Mary colored the hair on her Snow White ATC, among everything else:
Sharon let the image speak for itself - which it truly does:
Chelsea's little sentiment is quite appropriate, isn't it? So cute:
We hope you are all having fun exploring with ATC's - I know it's new for some of you, and you're really rocking it! :) I didn't even know what an ATC was myself, until about a year ago! LOL Once I started making them, I was just hooked! So I'm glad you've all joined me - I love seeing what you've come up with each week, and I thank you for taking the time to follow our rules and guidelines. Have a wicked awesome week! Peace.
